Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how International Auto Collision Center("we", "us", or "the Shop") collects, uses, retains, and protects information when you visit our website, request an estimate or claim, or bring your vehicle in for repair. If you have questions about anything below, contact us using the details at the end.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly and information generated when you use our services:
- Contact information β your name, phone number, email address, and mailing address.
- Vehicle information β year, make, model, VIN, license plate, mileage, and paint code.
- Insurance information β carrier, policy number, claim number, adjuster / appraiser contact details, deductible, and (if applicable) attorney contact information for injury claims.
- Photographsβ photos you upload of your vehicle's damage, and photos we take at intake, during repair, and at delivery. These form part of the repair record.
- Signatures and legal records β the drawn signature, typed name, IP address, and timestamp captured when you sign the Pre-Repair Authorization and Delivery-Acceptance contracts.
- Payment informationβ when you pay online, card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure payment page. We never see or store your full card number or CVV. We retain only the last four digits and the transaction reference for our records.
- Communication records β emails and text messages we exchange with you about your estimate or repair.
- Site usage data β IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, and Google Ads click identifiers (gclid) used to measure ad performance.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your request, prepare estimates, perform the authorized repair, keep you updated, coordinate with your insurance carrier, process payments, comply with California BAR recordkeeping requirements, defend against disputes, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
3. Repair photos and case-file records
Photos we take of your vehicle at intake, during repair, and at delivery become part of the repair's official case file. Along with the signed Pre-Repair Authorization, Delivery-Acceptance, invoices, and communication log, they document the condition of the vehicle at each stage and serve as evidence in the event of a later dispute (insurance, warranty, or legal). We may also use non-identifying "before and after" photos for marketing on our website or social media unless you tell us in writing not to.
4. Data retention
California BAR regulations require automotive repair dealers to retain repair records for a minimum of three (3) years. We keep repair-related records β including invoices, signed authorizations, photos, and communication logs β for at least seven (7) years from the date of delivery, which aligns with IRS recordkeeping requirements and the statute of limitations for most civil disputes. Analytics and non-essential site-usage data are retained for a shorter period (typically 26 months, matching Google Analytics defaults).
5. Text messaging (SMS)
If you check the SMS consent box on our estimate, contact, or claims form, you agree that International Auto Collision Center may send you text messages about your estimate, repair status, parts arrival, scheduling, and replies to your inquiry. These are transactional messages tied to your active request β we do not send marketing or promotional texts.
Message frequency varies based on the activity on your repair. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier's plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any of our messages. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.
Mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in status) is never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontracted SMS service providers (such as our messaging platform vendor) is solely for the purpose of delivering these transactional messages and is excluded from this restriction.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use basic web analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Cookies used are limited to what is necessary for the site to function and to measure ad performance. No personally identifying information is shared with analytics providers. You can clear or block cookies via your browser settings; some site features may not work as expected if you do.
7. Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Traffic to and from the site is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS). Repair records are stored on servers with encryption at rest and row-level access controls. Access to admin systems is limited to authorized staff. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we do not guarantee absolute security.
8. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you.
- Request a copy of that information (in a portable format where practical).
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to exceptions for records we are required to keep by law (BAR repair records, tax records) or that we need to defend a legal claim.
- Correct inaccurate personal information we have collected.
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information β although we do not sell or share your information in the first place.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Our services are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the customer portal. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
